Finally assembled one of the flat black steel
Dynamik's.  These black bikes definitely have a
certain presence about them.  They were originally
envisioned for a Police bike project, after the local
Chief of Police in Brentwood spent several miles
on our demo bike during a local club ride.  Several
folks have expressed interest, so I wanted to share
some pictures.  Look for some more pictures of the
Rock Shox equipped Dynamik in about another
week.

04.08.07 - RANS Brochure 2000
Had the opportunity to help a recent
Tailwind customer fulfill his curiosity and
secure a used Wave.  Along with the
bike came some old RANS literature, so
I took the liberty to scan it in for those
that might be interested, since it is a little
tricky to find info on some of their older
models.  Hope you also enjoy this
snapshot of RANS's model line up from
2000.

07.14.07 -  Zenetik Tour frame set build up "Petra 2.0"
Finally got some progress on a bike I've been thinking
about for quite some time.  Remaining items to be
installed include DA Barcon shifters, XT rear derailleur,
Ultregra front derailleur, and may go with a RANS carbon
fiber seat pan, and SRAM hollow-pin chain.
Petra 2.0 takes shape, check the Crank Fever 2.0 Page for more details
Shimano 105's with Koolstop Salmon cartridge pad inserts
Compact Ultegra 50/34T crank set should be a nice all around crank, and may try Rotor Q-Rings in the future
This grip / brake / shifter combo looks like they were made for each other
Should be a comfortable place to spend the day, while aero enough with the flat bars and a slight forward lean with the curved forward riser
XT 11-34T cassette, on a XT 32 hole ISO disc hub, in case there is the desire for disc brakes in the future
Petra 2.0 ready for action
07.28.07 -  Petra 2.0 completed
Installed last few items, and cable her up with Dura Ace
cables to keep the silver/gray theme, and omitted the
RANS carbon fork, and carbon seat pan.  Final weight
was 22.7lbs with pedals.  So far I am very pleased with
the results, and still have a little tuning to get the front
derailleur shifting smoothly with the Barcons.  The flat
bar and curved riser combo puts my hands in an
excellent position with a slight forward lean and more
open cockpit, yet still comfortable and ready for quick
sprints.
Petra 2.0, Shimano Ultegra 50-34T 170mm with Crank Bro's eggbeater pedals, Ultegra triple front derailleur, Japanese Nitto stainless steel H20 cage, Polar insulated water bottle
Petra 2.0's improved stopping power with Shimano 105 road calipers and Koolstop salmon cartridge pads
Petra 2.0 with a stock RANS alloy 700c fork, Cateye Micro Wireless computer sensor, and 105 calipers
RANS polished flat handle bars, and chome curved riser
Petra 2.0 accessorized with a Cateye Micro Wireless computer, in silver of course :)
Petra 2.0
Petra 2.0, XT 11-34T cassette, XT rear derailleur, DA cables, with a SRAM hollowpin chaing

1an's from Scotland's 2006 Dynamik: The trip the photos are from are on the National Cycle route 7 and 77. I cycled from Inverness to Dunkeld 18-20 May (116 Miles) the first 2 1/2 days were into the teeth of gale force winds and rain. From the top of the pass on the last day the skies cleared and it was magic.
1an's from Scotland's 2006 Dynamik: The road shot is at the top of the Drumochter Pass on the A9 from Inverness to Edinburgh the cycle track route 7 runs along the side of the road. Was I glad I was on the CF and not my recumbent as this climb was from sea level.
