Finally assembled one of the flat black steel
Dynamik's. These black bikes definitely have a
certain presence about them. They were originally
envisioned for a Police bike project, after the local
Chief of Police in Brentwood spent several miles
on our demo bike during a local club ride. Several
folks have expressed interest, so I wanted to share
some pictures. Look for some more pictures of the
Rock Shox equipped Dynamik in about another
week.

02.21.07 - Custom Dynamik by Ian in the Scotland
Here is a list of Ian's part with some notes:
- 2006 Dynamik frame set
- Fork: Onza Lite Guy This is a light alloy fork (900g) built for trials riding ie X
country racing. It is very light and very very strong.
- Handlebars: Humpert Multi Position Anatomic Bars (Butterfly Bars). Very good
light touring bars very popular in Germany. Will work exceptionally well on the CF.
- Bottom bracket: TA Axix Light. TA is a French company that produces very high
quality light transmission parts.
- Crankset: TA Vega Tripe 46/36/26 165mm
- Pedals: Specialized Mag Platform Pedals (270g each)
- Cassette: Sram PG 974 11-34.
- Chain: Sram PC 971.
- Rear Gear: Sram X7 Going to be exchanged for a Sram X9 when it wears out.
- Front Gear: Shimano XTR.
- Gear Shifters: Sram X9.
- Brake levers: Shimano XT.
- Brake front: Sram Avid 7. May go to Avid Discs BB7.

- Hubs: Shimano XT.
- Tyres: Schwalbe Big Apples (I like my comfort).
- Mudguards (fenders): SKS (needed here in Scotland).
- Rack & Kickstand: RANS.

04.08.07 - RANS Brochure 2000
Had the opportunity to help a recent
Tailwind customer fulfill his curiosity and
secure a used Wave. Along with the
bike came some old RANS literature, so
I took the liberty to scan it in for those
that might be interested, since it is a little
tricky to find info on some of their older
models. Hope you also enjoy this
snapshot of RANS's model line up from
2000.
04.08.07 - Bionx Raw Alloy Zenetik Tour
Here is a look at my supervisor Erics, custom
Tour with a 26" Bionx electric hub motor, with
regenerative braking. And you thought your
Prius was cool : )
04.08.07 - Marc's Zenetik Tour fender solution
Since the Zenetik Tour/Pro frame is a has little
room for fenders Marc on the Crank Forward
forums posted about his Reacharounds setup
from River City Bicycles in Portland. Here are
some photo's of his fender installation.
07.14.07 - Zenetik Tour frame set build up "Petra 2.0"
Finally got some progress on a bike I've been thinking
about for quite some time. Remaining items to be
installed include DA Barcon shifters, XT rear derailleur,
Ultregra front derailleur, and may go with a RANS carbon
fiber seat pan, and SRAM hollow-pin chain.
07.28.07 - Petra 2.0 completed
Installed last few items, and cable her up with Dura Ace
cables to keep the silver/gray theme, and omitted the
RANS carbon fork, and carbon seat pan. Final weight
was 22.7lbs with pedals. So far I am very pleased with
the results, and still have a little tuning to get the front
derailleur shifting smoothly with the Barcons. The flat
bar and curved riser combo puts my hands in an
excellent position with a slight forward lean and more
open cockpit, yet still comfortable and ready for quick
sprints.
